With the launch of a closed-end investment limited partnership (InvKG), the KanAm Grund Group has added another attractive investment product for institutional investors to its fund portfolio. The fund offers investors the opportunity to participate in the “Walsrode” logistics project in northern Germany, which the KanAm Grund Group acquired at the end of 2023.
Topping-out ceremony in Walsrode as an important milestone in the sustainable logistics project
A goods and service center with several building sections is to be built on a plot of around 9 hectares with a gross floor area of around 60,000 square meters on the A27 freeway in Walsrode.
The developers are relying on a comprehensive sustainability concept for the building technology:
- The logistics property will be built using a concrete sandwich construction and the office complex will be constructed using timber.
- Photovoltaic systems on the roof are intended to reduce the ecological footprint.
- Insect-friendly green spaces will promote biodiversity and create a pleasant working environment.
- The aim is to achieve DGNB Platinum certification.
At the topping-out ceremony at the end of November, all participating project partners were able to see the progress of construction first-hand. The completion of the shell is an important milestone in the project, which is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025.
Sascha Schadly, Managing Director at the KanAm Grund Group and responsible for fund management, among other things, says: “The launch of the investment limited partnership in the current market environment is an important milestone in our Strategy 2030, which is aimed at growth with new products and at the same time focuses on investor satisfaction. This investment product allows institutional investors to benefit from our expertise in this special segment and participate in future developments. We look forward to the positive impetus it will provide for our investors and our company.”
